Bulk Edit updates the same details across many animals at once, such as their group, type, sex, or target weight gain, instead of editing each animal one by one.
Editing animals in bulk
Open the herd from Herds on the Live Animals tab.
Click Bulk Edit, above the animal list.
Note: By default, Bulk Edit changes every animal in the herd. To limit it to specific animals, select them in the list first, then click Bulk Edit. The edit then applies only to the animals you selected.
In the Bulk Edit All Animals dialog, check the box next to each property you want to update. Group, Type, and Sex share one checkbox; DMI, Target ADG, Birthdate, Last Calved, Sire, and Dam each have their own.
Note: Save stays disabled until you check at least one property. Properties you leave unchecked are not changed.
Set the value for each property you checked.
Note: Last Calved shows “Not applicable” when the Type and Sex you set cannot have a calving date, such as a bull.
Click Save.
The animals are updated and the new values appear in the table. A bulk edit does not add an entry to the activity log.
