PastureMap gives every herd its own page that pulls together the herd's current numbers, its weight history, a record of grazing and animal changes, and the full list of animals in the herd. You open it from the Herds page by selecting a herd. This article walks through each section of the page, top to bottom, so you know what every part shows and where to go to make changes.

Top actions and herd header
Across the top of the page:
- All Herds (top left) takes you back to the Herds page.
- Edit (top right) opens the herd's settings, where you can change details like its name and target average daily gain.
- Retire moves the herd into a retired state without deleting its records. See Retiring and Unretiring a Herd.
- Delete removes the herd entirely.
Below this bar, the herd's species icon and name appear at the top of the herd card.
| Note: Delete removes the entire herd and all of its records, and it cannot be undone. To take a herd out of rotation while keeping its history, use Retire instead. |
Stats row
Four numbers sit just below the herd name and summarize the herd's current status:
- Live Animals - how many animals are currently in the herd.
- Avg Weight - the herd's current average weight.
- Dry Matter Intake - the herd's estimated dry matter intake, shown as a percent.
- Target ADG - the average daily gain you are targeting for the herd. It shows 0 lb when no target is set.
Weight chart
The chart plots the herd's average weight over time. The vertical axis is average weight and the horizontal axis runs by month.
The solid line connects the herd's recorded weight points. Each point marks a date when something changed the herd, such as a weigh-in or animals moving in or out.
Hover over a point to see the date, what happened that day, and the herd's average weight at that time. In the popup, each event is color-coded: blue for a weigh-in, green for animals moved in, and red for animals moved out.

Activity log
The panel on the right side of the page is the activity log. It lists the herd's grazing periods and animal changes, newest at the top.
Each grazing row shows where the herd is or was grazing and the date range, for example Grazing in [pasture] since [date] or Grazed in [pasture] with a start and end date. The 3-dot menu on a grazing row opens a Move In detail popup with the move-in date and time, total weight, total DMI, planned grazing time, available dry matter, any notes, and a photo if one was added.
Within each grazing period, the log lists the animal changes that happened during it, such as animals added, weigh-ins, animals marked as sold or culled, and animals moved in or out. Expand one of these entries with its arrow to reveal Details, Edit, and Delete for that event.

Details opens a popup with the recorded values for that event, Edit lets you correct it, and Delete removes it from the record.

Herd action buttons
The row of buttons below the chart acts on the herd and its animals:
- Add Animals adds animals to the herd. See Adding Animals to a Herd.
- Add Notes records a note on the herd. See Adding Notes to Animals.
- Weigh records new weights. See Weighing Animals.
- Move Animals moves animals to a pasture or another herd. See Moving Animals Between Herds.
- Cull Animals marks animals as culled, such as sold, slaughtered, or dead. See Culling Animals.
- Delete Animals permanently removes animal records.
| Note: Delete Animals permanently removes the selected animals and their history. To take animals out of the herd while keeping their records, use Cull Animals instead, which moves them to the Culled Animals tab. |
Live and Culled Animals tables
Below the buttons, two tabs list the herd's animals:
- Live Animals - the animals currently in the herd.
- Culled Animals - animals that have been culled out of the herd.
The table shows one row per animal with columns for Animal ID, Animal Group, Animal Type, Sex, Birthdate, DMI (%), Target ADG (lb), Current Est Weight (lb), Last Weight (lb), Last Weight Date, Last Calving Date, Sire, and Dam.

Other controls around the table:
- Bulk Edit edits many animals at once. See Bulk Editing a Herd.
- The search field filters the list by animal.
- Hovering over a row shows a pencil icon to edit that animal and a clock icon to view its history.
- Adjust Columns (bottom left) chooses which columns appear.
- Items per page and the pager (bottom right) move through the list.
