PastureMap shows missing grazing data when your herd has a stretch of time with no pasture assigned to it. With no starting or ending pasture for that window, PastureMap cannot calculate grazing or weight for those dates, so it flags the gap and gives you a way to fill it in.
Where you'll see it
The gap appears as a red row in the herd's activity log, on the right side of the herd's page. It reads Missing grazing data, with a Fix it button and the date range that is missing.

Fixing the gap
To close the gap, assign the pasture the herd was on during those dates:
- On the herd's page, find the red Missing grazing data row in the activity log.
- Click Fix it. The Move screen opens with a Target paddock is required message and the one date PastureMap already knows filled in.
- Choose the pasture the herd was on during that time. Click Select a paddock on the map, or click Select from list and pick the pasture from there.
- Enter the missing date. PastureMap fills in either the Since or the Until date, whichever it has; type in the other one so the range covers the whole gap.
- Click Save.

After you save, the red row is replaced by a normal grazing period for that pasture and date range, and the gap is closed.
